Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for understanding the interactions between humans and other elements of a system particularly for digital user interfaces. Applies theory principles data and methods within the engineering design process to assure proper interaction between products systems and processes and the people who use them. Human factors Engineering is also concerned with the fit between the user equipment and their environments; considering the users capabilities and limitations seeking to ensure that tasks functions information and the environment suit each user.
Contribute to usability evaluation of new features.
Participate in technical design reviews technical discussions and risk mitigations with focus on evaluation of design of user workflows interactions and experiences based on usercentered design principles and customer needs.
Work with design teams to contribute to formative usability studies including developing study plans scripts and reports during new product development.
Ensure product safety and quality by participating in summative usability studies.
Work with new product development core teams to develop usabilityrelated program deliverables (Use analysis report UFMEA Known Use Problems analysis etc).
Required Qualifications
This role requires experience in Engineering/Technology Human Factors Engineering and/or related field. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience)

Ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems
Effective communication skills within a crossfunctional team ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
Demonstrated ability to work independently own tasks and pursue them to completion
Desired Characteristics
Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 2 years of experience
Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document plan and execute projects. Established project management skills.
2 or more years of experience in usability/human factors engineer and/or user interface design or related experience
Proficient in the use of software tools for analysis mockup and design
Selfstarter energizing results oriented and able to multitask
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative matrixed and customer focused environment
Good communication influencing skills and ability to gain buyin for initiatives
Knowledge of product and software development lifecycle systems thinking Design Controls and risk management
