SIT Alemira is a part of hybrid organization comprised of an educational institute, research center, and vast internal and external ecosystem, collaborating with some of the world's top academic and science institutions, seeks a Human-Computer Interaction Analyst Specialist for Alemira Learning Solutions with a strong analytical skill preferably with a relevant advance Degree in Complex Social Analysis or related. The position is to be filled at the 100% subsidiary of SIT Alemira, Dybuster AG, in Zurich.

Job description:
Analysis and implementation of machine learning human behaviour interaction research plans relating to new uses of Alemira Learning Solutions dealing with empirical understanding (social, cognitive and data-driven research) of how teachers and learners use (and are affected by) Alemira tools in various contexts. Interdisciplinary approach, working across different teams across (computer scientists, software developers and engineers, cognitive psychologists, and teaching methodologists) to identify opportunities for human-centred research and improve product solutions.

Tasks

  • providing the full cycle analyses of research design, grounded in Human-Computer Interaction principles such as: selecting appropriate research methods and sampling data sourcing and developing research tools (in-depth, cognitive and semi-structured interviews; observation forms and schemes; field expertise checklists; surveys) managing data gathering (interviewing, non/participant observation) data analysis and interpretation (specialising in qualitative and basic quantitative analyses)
  • formulating insights and problems found and elaborating recommendations to address them
  • comparative analysis of competing products
  • observe human interaction with technology and create methodologies for Alemira's clients to self-monitor and self-improve their interactions with Alemira's tools
  • implement these methodologies with key clients and help them improve their computer interactions
  • enable the Alemira service team to offer implementations of these methodologies to all clients and supervise the service team in doing so
  • preparing written analytical research reports and presenting results to the product team
  • analyses of elaboration of a mixed methods research design for the study of engaging digital learning tools and management systems

Requirements

  • Master's degree in analysis, sociology or other similar discipline
  • Min. 2 years of professional experience in the area of research and analytics
  • Experience in Human-Computer Interaction research fundamentals
  • In-depth understanding and professional experience with digital solutions and digital transformation in the field of education
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
