Job Title: HTDG Operator (High Tension Diesel Generator Operator)

Job Summary:

As an HTDG Operator you will be responsible for the operation maintenance and monitoring of High Tension Diesel Generators (HTDG) specifically Perkins & Caterpillar models. Your primary role includes ensuring the efficient and safe operation of HTDG systems conducting routine checks performing preventive maintenance and responding swiftly to any operational issues.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HTDG Operation and Monitoring:
   

   • Operate HTDG systems in accordance with operational guidelines to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
     
   • Monitor HTDG parameters such as voltage current and frequency and adjust controls as necessary.
     

2. Preventive Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
   

   • Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on Perkins & Caterpillar HTDGs to ensure optimal performance.
     
   • Identify and troubleshoot any technical issues performing repairs or coordinating with technicians for complex problems.
     

3. Safety and Compliance:
   

   • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure safe operation of HTDGs.
     
   • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards pertaining to diesel generator operation and maintenance.
     

4. Record Keeping and Reporting:
   

   • Maintain accurate records of HTDG operations maintenance activities and any repairs performed.
     
   • Prepare and submit regular reports detailing the status of HTDG systems and any maintenance or operational issues.
     

5. Collaboration and Communication:
   

   • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure the reliability and efficiency of HTDG systems.
     
   • Communicate effectively with team members management and other relevant parties regarding HTDG operations and maintenance needs.
     

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  
• Proven experience as an HTDG Operator or in a similar role specifically with Perkins & Caterpillar models.
  
• Familiarity with the operational and maintenance requirements of high tension diesel generators.
