Our client is looking for a house aide. 5 days on and 2 days off. This is a 1st shift 8 am 4 pm, overtime as needed due to busy seasons. Pay rate starts at $13.50. Experience as house aide is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Under the supervision of the Executive Housekeeper
maintain, stock and transport cleaning carts to the appropriate areas; provide support to Room Attendants.
perform various cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to vacuuming and shampooing carpets, window washing, emptying trash, taking trash to dumpsters; elevator cleaning, light fixtures, fitness area, dusting, polishing, remove stains from walls or furnishings.
maintain back of house areas such as employee breakroom, offices, laundry area and employee restrooms.
maintain outside areas of hotel such as pool area, sidewalks, awning poles, signage, and hotel entrance.
move and arrange furniture turning mattresses as needed.
remove all trash, dirty linens, towels, and room service from public areas.
ensure soiled linens are laundered, load washers and dryers and folding linens as necessary.
clean and set up meeting areas; clean rooms on occasion; note any problems in guest s rooms in need of repair and report to Executive Housekeeper.
take found items to lost and found area; assist guests with information; assist other departments as needed; all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of daily hotel operations; must be able to communicate both in person and on the telephone with a wide variety of individuals; ability to maintain confidentiality; skill to work with guests who may become irate and upset; ability to problem solve; must have demonstrated experience with guest services/relations; must be willing to be part of the team; must be organized.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to speak clearly and distinctly; both in person and on the telephone; ability to lift up to 25 lbs.; ability to stoop and reach; ability to climb stairs; ability to stand for long periods of time.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:Work in a no smoking area; must be able to work flexible hours/days and overtime as required; must be able to work weekends and holidays; ability to maintain confidentiality.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:Identification badge and uniform is required; must practice good personal hygiene to present a neat, clean, and healthy appearance at all times.
