Job Duties
  • Shift: Days 8hrs Monday to Friday 40hrs / week
  • Work location: Onsite Palo Alto CA
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Accurately observes records and reports patient information. Legibly and accurately documents care provided.
  • Adheres to the standards of nursing care and the policies and procedures of the Hospital and Nursing Department. Carries out all responsibilities following Hospital safety guidelines for self patient visitors and employees.
  • Assists patients with and/or provides efficient care related to activities of daily living.
  • Completes orientation program and participates in learning activities to maintain and improve knowledge and skills.
  • Contributes in a positive manner to the unit department and hospital goals.
  • Performs duties as assigned to facilitate a clean safe orderly unit and patient care environment.
  • Performs routine patient care as needed under the direction and supervision of an RN/LVN.
  • With manager approval may perform specific skills after documented instruction.
  • Recognizes and addresses ageappropriate and cultural needs when caring for patients. Effectively communicates and interacts with patients families staff and members of the community from diverse backgrounds.
  • Transports patients safely in a manner that complies with Hospital guidelines.
  • Specific task but NOT limited to: transporting patients from Preop to OR from other units within the organization to Preop bring patients back to Preop collect vital signs and report to RN/LVN help organize and prepare unit for patient care.



Requirements

Education Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Licenses and Certifications
  • BLS Basic Life Support
Experience
  • Six (6) months of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
