Job Description:

New York Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Homeroom Teacher for the Primary Years Programme (PYP). The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young learners fostering their holistic development and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the primary educator and mentor for a designated homeroom class within the Primary Years Programme (PYP).

2. Plan prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that align with the PYP curriculum framework and educational objectives.

3. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes active participation inquirybased learning and studentcentered teaching practices.

4. Develop individualized learning plans and assessments to cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of students.

5. Establish open and effective communication channels with students parents and colleagues to foster collaboration and partnership in education.

6. Implement classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior mutual respect and a safe learning environment.

7. Monitor and track student progress providing timely feedback and support to facilitate academic growth and personal development.

8. Participate in professional development activities and collaborative planning sessions with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and curriculum delivery.

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Education or related field.

PYP certification or training is highly desirable.

Minimum of X years of teaching experience in a primary school setting preferably within an international school environment.

Strong knowledge and understanding of the PYP curriculum framework inquirybased learning and studentcentered pedagogies.

Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.

Passion for teaching and a commitment to providing highquality education to students.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and diverse community.

Fluency in English is required; additional proficiency in other languages is an asset.
