Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Summary
We are seeking experienced mechanics to perform inshop and roadside repairs on excavators tractors and trailers. The role involves mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavyduty and mediumduty equipment both inshop and mobile settings. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is essential. Duties also include vehicle maintenance and repair diagnosing complex mechanical and electronic issues and conducting detailed inspections and repairs with minimal supervision. Mechanics will work independently on most tasks performing facility maintenance duties as needed. Interaction with drivers and equipment operators to assess complaints accurately is required. Work must be completed in compliance with federal/provincial and corporate guidelines including safety and DOT regulations. Compensation is based on experience with a requirement for a clean MVR and successful background check.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working on heavy equipment (CAT John Deere Volvo etc.) diesel engines (Mack Peterbilt) and small tools.
• Strong hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Diesel engine repair (Preferred)
• Heavy Equipment Repair (Preferred)

Additional Responsibilities

• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Record information about time parts materials and repair details and procedures.
• Confer with coworkers to coordinate work activities.
• Complete and properly document assigned work orders.

Schedule

• 8hour shift

Compensation and Benefits

$30.44 $40.84 per hour (Negotiable depends on experience level and skills)
