About the role
Youll be working out of our regional hub in Sheffield and will beresponsible for ensuring that all heat pump Installations are designed to be efficient effective and compliant with regional legislation and manufacturers guidance.
What youll be doing
Have the necessary qualifications training and experience to design high quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties.
Perform evidencable calculations for pipe sizing heat loss radiator sizing mass flow velocity and noise assessment.
Remain compliant with regional design and planning regulations.
Where necessary register with regional regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with government or industry requirements.
Deliver schematic diagrams which effectively communicate installation requirements to technicians and electricians.
Generate reliable costings for customer quotation as well as materials requirements.
Keep up to date with all manufacturers guidance and any legislative changes including but not limited to heat pumps low carbon heating clean energy and building regulations.
Support and work closely with technicians and electricians to ensure that any onsite system alterations can be carried out effectively.
Support Clean Energy Technicians to diagnose system performance Issues during reactive and scheduled maintenance visits.
Support Clean Energy Experts during home survey to collect data needed to design optimised heat pump systems.
What youll need to have;
Experience of working as a Heating System Design Engineer
Water regulations certificate (WRAS) course
Level 2 / 3 Award in plumbing
Level 3 Award Low temperature heating and hot water systems in dwellings
The following would be useful to have;
Qualifications in System design such as Heat Geek Heating Mastery
Level 3 Award installation and maintenance of air source heat pump systems
