We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant HCA to join our team in providing personalized care and support to individuals living with dementia in our Nursing Home based in Co Dublin.
Contract Type:
- Permanent Fulltime & Parttime
Duties:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents engaging in meaningful interactions and activities tailored to individual preferences and abilities
- Support residents in participating in recreational activities and therapeutic programs designed to promote social engagement
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for residents
- Participate in ongoing training and education initiatives to enhance knowledge and skills in dementia care and best practices
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with residents and their families
Requirements
- Only EU Nationals can apply
- QQI Level 5 Award Healthcare or relevant qualification
- Excellent track record as a high performing Healthcare worker
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent personal care abilities
- Previous experience as a healthcare assistant or similar role in a healthcare setting preferably in dementia care
