Job Title: Head of Procurement

Location: Nairobi

Our client is seeking a dynamic individual to lead the Procurement department. As the Head of Procurement you will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency in procurement management contract management inventory management fuel and freight hedging.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the execution of the departmental strategy to contribute to the annual budgeted EBIDTA.
   
2. Oversee management of materials and services.
   
3. Lead negotiations and price analysis.
   
4. Develop and maintain a qualified supplier base.
   
5. Manage inventory levels and mitigate stock out risks.
   
6. Ensure controls in sourcing and inventory management.
   
7. Establish best practices for procurement and materials management.
   
8. Monitor Global Price Index for crude oil dry freight price hedging in order to undertake strategic decisions.
   
9. Build and manage relationships with stakeholders.
   
10. Implement evaluation processes for supplier performance.
    
11. Stay updated on global markets and sourcing locations.
    
12. Provide leadership and performance management support.
    
13. Ensure team motivation cohesiveness and alignment.
    

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Procurement or equivalent.
  
• Masters Degree is a plus.
  
• CIPS or equivalent certification.
  
• 1215 years experience including 6 years in senior management.
