Through our venture capital investment platform, we provide startups easy access to smart capital and investors diligently screened and prepared startup investments.

We are looking for a smart and ambitious new team member that burns for this vision and is eager to get there together.

Since Markus founded Gateway Ventures (back then primeCROWD) in 2016, the members of our network have invested more than 21m in over 36 exciting companies. You'll work with international people that combine years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, founding startups, Marketing, and PR.

Tasks

Your Mission will be to

manage the entire post-transaction process according to state-of-the-art principles. The goal pursued is the best possible support for the companies in the Gateway portfolio and comprehensive information for the members of the Gateway investor network.

Some ways of how you will do that

  • Actively monitor our portfolio of more than 36 European start-ups by collecting and summarizing key KPIs and business updates
  • Support our portfolio across governance topics such as Annual General Meetings by coordinating with our internal teams and finalizing voting decisions
  • Be the first person to know how and where we can help our portfolio companies, where they currently struggle and how we can promote their good work
  • Prepare our portfolio companies for exit processes

Requirements

You are a great candidate for us if most of the following skills match to you

  • 5+ years of relevant working experience in portfolio management or a similar environment

  • a deep understanding of entrepreneurial processes and decision making

  • outstanding interpersonal skills and people describe you as deeply empathic

  • worked in client-facing roles before and loved it

  • a deep inner motivation to learn and adapt in a fast-moving field

  • great conversational skills in both German and English

  • your ways to connect and maintain relationships with HNWIs, especially BAs + Family Offices

  • an existing network of affluent people that trust you

  • the ability to authentically represent startups as an asset class

  • ++ already invested in startups by yourself

  • Full-time position

According to Austrian law we are required to state a minimum salary for this position. The expected minimum salary is EUR 70,000.00 gross annually. However, the final salary will be a competitive package based on previous work experience, hence there is a willingness to overpay.

Our process

The starting date is as soon as possible. However, we are willing to wait for the right candidate.

You'll walk through 3 stages:

  1. Get to know each other: We use this to pitch primeCROWD and get you excited to join. We'll also use this chance to see whether both our expectations align.
  2. Get to know your skills/your strategy to learn the rest:
    Here we'll have a look at your prior work and potential assignments that were given after our first conversation.
    We're also super curious about how you approach unknown unknowns.
  3. Final conversation: We're going to chat more about the position, what you value, what you took away from the interviews so far, and whatever is on your mind.

We are mindful of your time: Going through all stages can be done within two to three weeks.
Once you've passed them all we will extend a formal offer.
