Head of Operations

GlassFlow is an endtoend data streaming infrastructure for Python developers. We are an earlystage VCbacked startup based in Berlin building a categorydefining infrastructure product from the ground up. GlassFlow will enable millions of data engineers around the world to extract value from their realtime event data without the pain of maintaining the underlying infrastructure. GlassFlow is led by experienced founders and backed by worldclass investors including Heikki Nousiainen (CTO Aiven) Thomas Dohmke (CEO GitHub) Sergei Sokolenko (ex Snowflake Google) and many more.

We are looking for someone to help us take our company to the next level. Your role will have a significant impact and be critical to our success. We are looking for a selfmotivated individual who is willing to help shape our overall company structure and processes. Youll work closely with both founders and be involved in key projects.

Tasks

1. Financial Planning and Budgeting of multiple mio $ budget:

• Lead the budget planning process and ensure effective allocation of resources to meet business objectives.
• Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve financial targets.

2. Human Resources Management for a fastgrowing team:

• Manage HR functions including recruitment development and retention.
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent conduct interviews and oversee the hiring process.
• Create and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
• Design and execute retention strategies to foster a positive work environment and reduce turnover.

3. Taxation Oversight:

• Oversee all tax matters for both our main company in the USA and our subsidiary in Germany ensuring compliance with international tax regulations.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors to optimize tax structures and minimize tax liabilities.

4. Strategic Management Projects:

• Develop and implement innovative and strategic measures to optimize business processes in close collaboration with the operations product and finance teams.
• Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency scalability and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration (Business) Law or related field.
• Several years of experience in operations management preferably in an international context.
• Experience in working with US entities
• Experience in HR management and personnel leadership.
• Analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data.
• Experiences or comfortable to work in a StartUp environment
• Very good communication and teamwork skills fluent in both German and English.
