Job Description
Aim of the job:
To ensure efficient and cost effective in palm oil mill operation
Main responsibilities and activities:
- Management of mills within the company.
- Monitor mill s performance in terms of yields ie. OER (Oil Extraction Rates) and KER (Kernel Extraction Rates) and throughput and provide inputs for improvement.
- Monitor processing losses for oil and kernel to ensure they are below the maximum limits.
- Monitor CPO and Kernels produced to meet the quality standards for customers.
- Provide support and advice to the mills to sustain production quality and control process losses.
- Ensure preventive maintenance system is practiced and plant downtime.
- Comply with the quality standard practiced in the mill.
- Review cost of production monthly and take appropriate action to ensure mills meet the targets.
- Ensure all the Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
- Ensure mills comply with all statutory requirements & regulations and have close rapport with Government Authorities.
- Ensure all CAPEX and OPEX projects are executed according to procedures and timely.
- Any other assignments as instructed by the Management.
Requirements
Basic education and training:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Plantation Management or any related field.
- Minimum 20 years experience in related field.
Professional experience: Steam Cert. grade at least grade2, grade 1 is added advantage
Knowledge, skills:
- Must have good knowledge of the cultivation and management of oil palm mills
- Ability to consult on the optimal placement of industrial machines for mills.
- Able to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Able to observe, receive and obtain information from all relevant sources.
- Able to communicate with estates effectively and mills
- Able to write comprehensive report
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills, excellent interpersonal skills, effective communicator,innovative and good influencing skills.
Other responsibilities:
- Maintain a productive and motivated workforce
Personal qualities required, abilities:
- Able to represent the company
- Systematic personality
- Possess a positive attitude, able to work independently.
- Good tolerance to stress.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
