Tasks

At SDA, we are looking for an inspiring, highly technical leader for our engineering team to develop a next-level cloud native SaaS application for industrial automation and help our developers with best-practices to bring designs to implementation.

• Lead the development, testing, deployment, and delivery of a large-scale global software application
• Review projects' ability to deliver robust and scalable solutions toward our vision, learning and incorporating new technologies
• Drive agile project management methodologies to provide technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Ensure high-quality design reviews which meet business and architectural goals and drive critical feedback
• Build, manage, and develop a world-class engineering team including hiring and mentoring engineers and product managers

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent degree with strong information technology focus
• 7+ years of experience writing code in modern object-oriented programming languages such as Python/Java/C#
• 5+ years of experience working on large-scale, distributed applications leveraging cloud stacks of AWS / Azure
• 5+ years of experience in managing multiple developer teams for a cloud native SaaS application
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operations
• Ability to synthesize requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and facilitate engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor software engineers in all aspects of their engineering skill-set

Preferred

• Experience in IIoT / Industrial Software / MES / Industrial Control (Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff, CodeSys) implementations
• Experience in programming with C++/C/Go/Rust
• Experience with real-time operating systems and virtualization
