What we are looking for

We are seeking a highly experienced talented and handson individual to join our team as Head of Ecommerce Africa. As the Head of Ecommerce you will be responsible for driving the digital strategy and online presence of our brand across Africa. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns optimise our digital platforms lead community growth and build brand love. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the digital landscape for our brand across the African markets we are present in.


What does the job involve

  • Drive the development and execution of the commercial and tech strategy for a consumer brands directto consumer (ecommerce and social commerce) business to drive scale unparalleled customer experience and strong retention and loyalty.
  • Lead the planning implementation and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across various channels including ecommerce email marketing whatsapp commerce search engine marketing and display advertising.
  • Implement activities on the ecommerce platform to drive repeat purchase grow retention rate and reward loyalty.
  • Lead the endtoend user experience from order to fulfilment including logistics/delivery payment and aftersales support
  • Be highly datadriven and monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts executing on insights for continuous improvement.
  • Manage and implement a dashboard of key metrics that are tracked daily/weekly;
  • Analyze and own all data across the sales funnel email marketing whatsapp commerce and D2C ecommerce (website analytics) to suggest innovative strategies to grow users traffic conversation rate revenue and engagement rates.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop compelling and engaging digital content ensuring consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all digital platforms.
  • Own and achieve ecommerce revenue targets across Africa.
  • Strategize on and oversee the optimization and new build of technical aspects of thetionality and conversion rates.
  • Strategize on and oversee the optimization and new build of technical aspects of the ecommerce/social commerce platform including website architecture integration with other systems and services and ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience.
  • Lead digital related products such as skin quiz teleconsultations and other tech enabled projects that support product discovery community growth and consumer education.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends emerging technologies and digital best practices and provide strategic recommendations to leverage new opportunities.
  • Lead and develop a highperforming digital team providing guidance coaching and support to achieve departmental goals.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in marketing digital marketing or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital marketing with a strong focus on driving brand growth and customer engagement.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful digital marketing strategies and campaigns preferably within the skincare beauty or wellness industry.
  • Extensive handson experience managing digital marketing channels including social media email marketing search engine marketing paid advertising and ecommerce platforms.
  • Solid understanding of the African market landscape and consumer behaviour in relation to digital platforms and trends.
  • Handson experience managing ecommerce platforms and website optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data generate insights and make datadriven decisions.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for digital marketing and staying abreast of industry developments
