Hair stylist

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Consulting with clients to understand their haircare needs and desires
• Providing hair cutting coloring and styling services
• Advising clients on hair care and maintenance
• Handling hair treatments such as deep conditioning and keratin treatments
• Keeping uptodate with the latest hair trends and styling techniques
• Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and tools
• Building and maintaining a client base through exceptional customer service
• Managing appointments and maintaining client records
• Participating in promotional activities and events to attract new clients
• Collaborating with other salon professionals as needed

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed a stateapproved cosmetology or hairstyling program
• Valid state cosmetology license
• Demonstrated experience in hair cutting styling and coloring
• Strong knowledge of hair care products and treatments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Uptodate with industry trends and techniques
• Attention to detail and creativity in hair styling
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
