Job Description

Job Brief:
A leading company in the Chilled & Frozen Food (FMCG) sector are looking for a GRV Clerk. The GRV Clerk responsibilities include the capturing and processing of all stock received. This role is critical to the value chain success and requires that the staff member works until the daily work volume is complete.

Responsibilities:

Goods Receipt Process

  • Receive POD book and invoices from Truck
  • Control blind check against invoice
  • Check Truck Temperature and Truck Seal against PO Book. Report immediately to Procurement and Supplier should a difference be noted
  • Request double check by Supervisor if variances are detected
  • Update Truck Register
  • Retain original documents and return copies for POD book to Truck
  • Sign off and return any pallets
  • Check invoice against PO on IQ
  • Send invoice through to Procurement for sign off and price check
  • Raise claim for any shortages, damages, overs or price claims according to process
  • Complete GRV process

Critical Success Factors

  • Ensure all stock received is captured onto the system
  • Ensure the unit of measure (UOM), size and supplier codes match the purchase order
  • Assist and ensure stock clerks sign GRV slips and allocate stock if unallocated
  • Assist the Stock Controller to sort out stock issues as and when required
  • Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries
  • Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory stock or receiving replacements
  • Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries
  • Ensure up to date stock knowledge and trading terms with new suppliers
  • Correct calculation of stock conversions is critical
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control

Administration

  • Administration of old stock write off and stock transfers
  • Check receipt invoices against orders and send through to GRV
  • Follow up on GRV cycle
  • Issuing of Purchase orders
  • Handle transfer requests from HQ
  • Updating of IQ system
  • Payment requests for general store management
  • Weekly filing, creating, updating and maintaining records and databases

Teamwork

  • Support department managers and co employees.
  • Actively participate as a member of the team
  • Performing any other task, not specified herein, which from time to time may be   assigned by the manager.


Skills Required:

Educational Background:

  • Grade 12
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand Afrikaans & English
  • High level of Mathematical ability
  • Computer Literacy

      

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Previous Experience and strong knowledge of a Value Chain environment will be advantageous
  • Operational Agility
  • Ensure Vision, Mission and Values underpin all activities
