The producer accountant provides accounting support to internal departments customers and growers and administers all accounting and reporting related to growers.
Key Performance Outputs
- Ensure financial information to our growers is timely and accurately prepared
- Evaluate standard cost with moving average costs analyse variances
- Verifying all income and ensuring all credits/claims are processed
- Prepare/calculate grower advances and submit for payment
- Prepare weekly cost reconciliations per commodity group by creating review and maintain all sales & cost related transactions
- Preparing weekly payment schedule
- Maintaining and distributing weekly reports to the sales team
- Analyze grower revenue and costs through a production season
Requirements
Minimum Education/Qualification/Experience
- Essential relevant Financial / Cost accounting qualification
- 2 / 3 years of cost accounting experience
- Sound understanding of accounting principles
- Knowledge of agriculture practices and an understanding of challenges in the industry
- Inventory Production cost experience
- Advance excel skills for reporting & calculating purposes using large volumes of data
