About Systems IP
We have a range of exciting grad opportunities in the Systems IP group. The group focusses on developing IP such as interconnect, Memory Management Units (MMU) and Interrupt Controllers needed to complement CPUs in the SoC solutions forming Arms world class Compute platforms. Our System IP is designed for intelligent, scalable, connected systems across a wide range of applications including mobile, IoT, networking infrastructure, automotive etc.

All the IP technology is being developed for manufacture in the most advanced process nodes, to match the demands of the latest mobile, automotive and server markets. Design and implementation engineers work closely to implement and verify Arm IP. In the implementation role you will use leading EDA tools in a varied, challenging and exciting environment.

What will you be responsible for?
The group activity includes modelling, design and verification of System IP opening a huge breadth of opportunities for graduates of various backgrounds. Although tasks vary by team, some of your accountabilities or areas you areas you can develop in will include:

Implementation of IP design into physical layouts; providing process node specific power, performance and area metrics.
Modelling of current and future System IP in order to explore architectural decisions and arrive at optimal configurations and design solutions.
Rigorous verification of IP using state of the art verification techniques to ensure the highest quality products.
Development of common software tools deployed into verification environments across all of arm product teams.
Hardware design of System IP with a view to achieving high performance, low power design.
Required Skills Qualifications and Experiences

Qualified candidates will have a university degree (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant technical discipline.
Knowledge of one of the following:
Programming languages such as: object-oriented (e.g. C++), C
Familiarity with RTL design principles and/or hardware description languages, such as VHDL or Verilog/SystemVerilog
Exposure to verification techniques and testbenches (e.g., UVM and Formal)
Perl, Python, or other scripting language
Familiarity of Unix/Linux working environment
General CPU micro-architecture, Arm architecture, GPU, ISP (camera) or display architecture, digital electronics.
Knowledge of ASIC Systems and design techniques for low power
Knowledge of IC design flow and physical design. (e.g. HDL synthesis)
