Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Inspector to join our Global Manufacturing Support Department (GMSD). GMSD is a multidisciplinary organization with interface to technical and in some cases business support requirements of Global Manufacturing Admin Area and This Company Affiliates. Its function caters mainly to the technical needs of Global Manufacturing operating facilities management and drives the performances of operating facilities in executing corporate programs and initiatives towards operational excellence and value creation. Your primary role will be to provide technical support to operating facilities projects technology deployment and talent development of new mechanical inspectors. You will conduct special studies and analyses in a specialized asset integrity field such as necessary mechanical calculations for piping pressure vessel shell and tube heat exchangers air cooler fin fans branch reinforcement MAWP hydrotest pressure rating and/or derating fitness for service to evaluate flaws or damage pipe stress analysis flange calculations perform nozzle calculations.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting field troubleshooting on a daily basis or as required.
• Participating in major Turnarounds & Inspections (T&Is) and emergency plant shutdowns.
• Developing and reviewing mechanical inspection procedures and best practices.
• Writing recommendations and reports related to mechanical inspection activities.
• Developing and reviewing pre and postT&Is reports.
• Developing and reviewing mechanical inspection strategies.
• Taking part in field mechanical inspections quarterly schedule inspections and assessments.
• Reviewing and proposing NonDestructive Testing (NDT) methods and inspection procedures.
• Participating in RiskBased Inspection (RBI) studies.
• Participating in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) Studies review.
• Establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and overseeing the implementation and performance of mechanical inspection programs at facilities.
• Reviewing the performance and KPIs of mechanical inspection programs at facilities.
• Providing recommendations to improve the deployment and performance of mechanical inspection programs.

Requirements:

• This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran Saudi Arabia.
• A Bachelors degree in Engineering.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in the refinery and/or NGLF (Natural Gas Liquids Fractionation) industry with a specific focus on mechanical inspection.
• At least 10 years of field experience involving major plant turnarounds field troubleshooting and inspection.
• Possession of two of the following certificates: API510 API570 or API653.
• Indepth knowledge of best engineering practices coupled with a strong background in industry codes and standards.
