Global Game Planner - Korean
CTW Inc. is a fast-growing IT company who owns and operates the online gaming platform G123. The games are based on renowned IPs, including Japanese anime, and can be played on different devices without requiring a specific app download.
After finding great success in Japan, the company is now looking to grow its player base around the world and to adapt its offerings for new markets with a number of new exciting IPs. We are now hiring talent from around the world, and planning to grow from 130 to 300 people in 2022, with the ambition to make a difference in the video game industry.
Who we re looking for
The candidate for this position must be a native Korean speaker. For this role, it is imperative that the candidate be well versed in Korean culture in order to be a reference point for the language and the country in a team of global talents from around the world. The role covers translation/localization (Japanese to Korean, English to Korean, Japanese to English), help with customer support in Korean (text-based interactions with the players to help solve problems and reply to requests/feedback), social media marketing and more depending on the candidate s skill set and preferences.
As the team is set to grow from a few people to several dozens, this is a chance to be a real trailblazer for the company s international expansion. Responsibilities
Help with localization and translation of in-game text for the games: Japanese to Korean, English to Korean, Japanese to English
Help with customer support tasks and text communication with players in Korean and in English as needed: responses to inquiries, gathering player feedback to help improve the games, communicating with teams internally to solve issues
Reference point for Korean culture and Korean sensibility regarding in-game contents and language elements
Help with social media communication and translation of press releases in Korean
Responsibilities will evolve as the team grows - this is a chance to create your own path
Required Qualification
Korean at Native level
Fluent in English
Japanese proficiency must be at JLPT N2, N1 or equivalent
Global outlook and interest in working with people from different cultures
Ability to deal with uncertainty and ambiguity to get things done
Good writing and communication skills, especially in Korean
Interest in video games, with basic knowledge of video game terminology and language used in RPGs in particular
