Global Corporate Controller

Location: Onsite Las Vegas NV

Salary Range: $180000.00 $210000.00 with bonus structure

Commission Structure: Medical Dental Vision PTO 401K

Requirements:

About the Role

The Global Corporate Controller will serve as a vital financial collaborator for the Leadership Team and Chief Financial Officer. Responsible for overseeing companywide Controllership activities the Corporate Controller will have direct reports in the US and Slovenia. They will actively contribute to establishing a robust accounting function and collaborate extensively across the business to ensure optimal efficiency and scalability of our systems and processes in alignment with the Company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the monthly quarterly and annual consolidation and review of financial statements.
  • Supervise the companywide Controllership function taking responsibility for all facets of general accounting accounts receivable accounts payable travel and expense management payroll reporting and analysis and associated operational audit preparations and oversight.
  • Examine detailed analyses and reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
  • Establish and uphold formal Controllership policies and procedures ensuring adherence across the board.
  • Prepare and comprehend comprehensive financial and variance analyses.
  • Uphold a robust internal control framework within Controllership.
  • Collaborate effectively with nonaccounting/finance team members (Operations Engineering Sales etc.) to enhance controls and streamline processes while engaging in regular operational reviews to foster relationships across the organization and gain insights into key business trends and performance opportunities.
  • Provide assistance during the annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Manage relationships with auditors and external accounting/tax/consulting advisors.
  • Assess accounting and financial processes to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing efficiencies including process automation and potential system enhancements/implementations.
  • Foster guide mentor coach and retain staff.
  • Offer leadership and strategic direction for scaling the team and financial infrastructure to accommodate the demands of the Company’s rapid growth.
  • Undertake special and ad hoc projects as necessary.

Candidate Requirements

  • 710 years of experience in Accounting and Controllership preferably with a background in public accounting and/or industry with a preference for previous experience in Manufacturing.
  • CPA qualification with a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Profound comprehension of US GAAP and familiarity with IFRS is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of establishing and maintaining effective internal controls for accounting and financial reporting along with proficiency in the monthly quarterly and annual financial close processes.
  • Demonstrated capability to execute and render professional and experienced judgmental decisions.
  • Exceptional management skills in overseeing backoffice transaction processing teams.
  • Embraces a continuous improvement mindset with a proven track record of optimizing manual processes and driving efficiencies and automation where applicable.
  • Demonstrated analytical prowess including problem definition data collection drawing valid conclusions and recommending improvement/corrective actions.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic rapidly changing and growing business environment.
  • Strong written verbal and presentation skills.
  • Proven history of effectively leading mentoring developing and retaining teams.
