Role and Responsibilities
The GIS Analyst will be responsible for conducting data research and analysis including identifying candidate datasets based on specified requirements evaluating new data and thirdparty information services and providing suitable data samples or visualizations. They will also deliver timely accurate data and research reports provide statistical and spatial analysis of datasets and act as the initial Subject Matter Expert for the new datasets. Additionally the role involves engaging in data consultancy offering advice to internal stakeholders in the product and software engineering teams.

Candidate Qualifications
The ideal candidate should exhibit attention to detail possess an inquisitive nature and have a desire to understand and resolve problems. They should have at least 2 years of experience in a data analysis role involving geospatial data and practical experience with GIS software such as QGIS and ETL software such as FME for data preparation analysis and presentation. Familiarity with database technologies such as Oracle or PostGIS practical knowledge and experience in Python and SQL as well as experience in analysis results presentation and writing including the use of PowerBi are also required. Additionally practical experience of datasets related to climate change and their analysis is preferred.
