TBest Services is currently seeking a dedicated and energetic Garbage Truck Helper to join our clients waste management team in Rochester NY.
This position is an integral part of the daily operations focusing on the prompt and proficient collection of waste and recyclables from both residential and commercial locations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the collection of garbage yard waste and recyclables from residences and businesses.
- Manually load and unload garbage and recyclables from the truck.
- Operate compaction and disposal equipment on the garbage truck.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed when working near vehicles and handling waste materials.
- Work in collaboration with the driver and other team members to complete routes efficiently.
- Assist the garbage truck driver in backing up the vehicle and navigating through narrow or congested areas.
- Perform daily inspections of the truck and equipment to ensure proper operation and report any issues or needed repairs.
- Keep the garbage truck clean and organized and maintain a professional appearance.
- Comply with all local state and federal regulations regarding waste collection and disposal.
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and work in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- No prior experience required; onthejob training will be provided.
- Valid Drivers Llicense and clean driving record are a plus.
Job highlights:
- Workdays: Monday to Friday occasional Saturdays.
- First shift: 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Pay: starting at $15/hr increasing to $20/hr after probationary period.
- Possibility of benefits after probationary period.
- Paid time off.
