Booka a revolutionary childrens digital library was founded with a vision to transform the reading experience for young minds. The concept emerged from the challenges faced by parents particularly during travels where physical book limitations inspired the creation of a digital collection. Booka strives to provide children with an immersive and educational experience unrestricted by circumstances.


Committed to empowering parents and fostering independent learning Bookas core concept is to make reading easy and engaging for children. Features like Booka Reads offer a positive alternative to aimless social media browsing allowing children to swipe through books and enjoy meaningful content. Additionally most books in Bookas catalog feature voiceovers from professional narrators ensuring an enjoyable experience even for those who prefer listening.


Booka App is seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join our team as a Funding Networking Associate. In this role you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing connections with various financial organizations venture funds and investors to facilitate partnerships and funding opportunities for our innovative childrens book application.


Responsibilities:


  • Research and identify potential financial organizations venture funds and investors in Cyprus and beyond.

  • Create a comprehensive list of potential funding sources and maintain an updated database.

  • Initiate contact with identified organizations through phone calls and emails to introduce Booka App and explore partnership opportunities.

  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and phone calls between Booka App representatives and potential investors.

  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and materials for meetings with venture capital (VC) companies.

  • Follow up on initial contacts to gather feedback and determine the next steps in the partnership process.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and business development teams to align funding strategies with overall company objectives.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments in the startup and venture capital landscape.


MUST have:


  • 12 years of experience in sales business development or related roles preferably in the startup or venture capital industry.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proactive and selfmotivated attitude with a willingness to take initiative and drive projects forward.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fastpaced dynamic environment.



NICE to have:


  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Finance Marketing or a related field.

  • Familiarity with financial terminology and concepts as well as a basic understanding of startup funding processes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software is a plus.
