Job Description & Key Responsibilities

Seeking to fill a Fund Controller role in Alpharetta GA office in our Accounting & Finance Team.

Candidates should have:

  • Experience and understanding of waterfall and management fee calculations expense allocations and partner capital allocations (including capital calls/distributions).
  • Familiarity with fund financial statements and required disclosures.
  • Foundation in technical accounting areas such as consolidation.
  • Basic Tax Knowledge that is important to fund investors and operations (blockers etc.).
  • Exposure to complex fund structures and investment strategies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure timely and accurate investor reporting in accordance with LPA and side letters.
  • Assist the Managing Director Fund Accounting with annual audit and tax return preparation with external auditors and tax preparers.
  • Assist the Managing Director Fund Accounting to oversee the fund administrator coordinating and reviewing: Quarterly Capital Statements Quarterly financial statements Monthly distribution letters & Capital call letters.
  • Preparation and maintenance of Fund forecast models.
  • Additional miscellaneous accounting projects including requests from LPs.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in: Accounting Finance Economics or Business Administration required and an active CPA license (preferred).
  • 810 years of professional experience performing or auditing fund accounting.
  • Strong quantitative analytical and fundamental valuation skills with proficiency in calculating manipulating and formatting data in Microsoft Excel.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and organized with ability to prioritize and simultaneously manage many projects.
  • Selfstarter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and implement enhancements.
