Overview:

The Front Office Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk and reception area of the business. They are responsible for overseeing all front office functions and guest relations contributing significantly to the overall guest experience and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the front desk staff and ensuring excellent customer service
  • Managing reservations and room assignments
  • Training and coaching front desk team members
  • Handling guest inquiries and complaints
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Monitoring and maintaining the lobby and public areas
  • Overseeing checkin and checkout procedures
  • Managing billing and payment transactions
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Preparing regular reports and budgets
  • Implementing and maintaining front office policies and procedures
  • Handling VIP guests and special requests
  • Assisting with recruitment and performance evaluations
  • Participating in regular meetings and training sessions
  • Ensuring efficient use of resources and controlling costs

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or relevant field
  • Proven experience as a Front Office Manager or similar role
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in hotel management software
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking capabilities
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
  • Indepth knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours and handle pressure
  • Thorough understanding of front office operations and procedures
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and security protocols
  • Financial acumen and budget management skills
  • Certification in Hospitality Management is a plus
  • Attention to detail and a focus on quality service delivery
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
