We re a hybrid remote company with team members spread over continental Europe and offices in Z rich and Antwerp.

About the role

Oper is looking for an intern to work directly with the Product and Design Team, to support the implementation of the design system.

This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a lot of experience and have an impact on a fast-moving startup at the post-Series A stage.

The role can be taken up part-time, to be combined with your academic curriculum, and you would start as soon as possible.

Location: Remote set up with the possibility to work in our office in Z rich, Switzerland, or in Antwerp, Belgium.

Tasks

What you will do?

• Support the Product and Design Team in the implementation of the design system

• Implement design tokens in the codebase

• Setup theming for our different clients (tokens to (s)css variables)

• Develop reusable components

• Apply tokens & styling to the existing user interface

• Gradually implement new designs

• Translate the requirements into code

• Work with the Product and Design and Engineering Team to push these initiatives forward.

Requirements

You are/You have

• Pursuing Bachelor or Master s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent. (Ideally graduating in 2023)
• Web development knowledge, and/or any level of experience (HTML, CSS)
• Any level of Angular experience, and/or passion to learn Angular
• Willing to learn frontend development with technologies such as Typescript, Javascript, RxJS, NgRX, Angular, NodeJS, Webpack
• Passion for developing solutions for digitalization in Financial Services or FinTech
• The ability to quickly understand what needs to be done and then get it done
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills
• Thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving work environment
• Highly organized and eager to learn
• Passion and interest in working in a start-up technology workspace
• Open to working remotely.
