Front-End Developer - React

This position is remote. Were primarily hiring residents of the Madison WI area or those who are willing to relocate themselves here.

Playback Rewards is seeking a skilled and motivated FrontEnd Web Developer with React Native expertise to join our startup team of games industry veterans to help build a powerful and scalable video game rewards platform.

In this role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the fron end of our web application utilizing your expertise in React Native while working with TypeScript/JavaScript and serverless architectures on AWS or Google Cloud.

Tasks

• Write clean maintainable and efficient code in React Native adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Coordinate with development and design teams to develop applications that are aligned with specifications and run on numerous platforms.
• Contribute to the development of technical specifications and architecture plans.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the build test and deployment processes ensuring rapid and reliable delivery of code to production.
• Transition existing React web apps to React Native.
• Participate in code reviews providing constructive feedback to team members and ensuring code quality and consistency.
• Identify opportunities to enhance our technology and innovate.

Requirements

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in professional web development
• Extensive experience developing and deploying publicfacing React Native applications to production environments
• Strong proficiency in modern TypeScript developing structured scalable solutions
• Thorough understanding of React.js React Native and related core principles
• Experience with cloud architecture on GCP Azure or AWS
• Strong understanding of API development and integrations
• Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Strong time management skills organized self driven and highly productive

Preferred:

• BS in Computer Science (or equivalent foundational technical experience)
• Experience working in sprint and agilelike development methodologies
• Experience with ticketing systems like Jira Trello or ClickUp
• Experience with AWS Lambda GCP Cloud Functions or Azure Functions
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB Firestore
• Experience with Firebase
• Experience creating crossplatform optimized and scalable user experiences
• Experience with CSS animation frameworks and responsive design
• Experience working with and/or managing external developer partners
