Freight Forwarder Export Air&Sea, in Machelen

Our client is one of the largest global players in transport and logistics, employing more than 75 000 people in over 90 countries. They are currently looking for a Freight Forwarder Export Air&Sea, in 1830 Machelen, Belgium to join their team. It is important to note that as a Freight Forwarder Export Air you must have a first experience in this field. Your main tasks will
be: Specify together with the customer the conditions and the cost of the transport. Organize the different steps of transport. Draw up the transport and freight documents, check them and inform the clients, service providers, etc. Inform customers about the transport conditions. Propose commercial solutions. Prepare and/or control the invoicing of the transport.

Tasks

Your duties will include:

• Organizing the air transportation service
• Recording complaints and providing customers with an initial response or solution according to the problem (delay, loss, damage, etc.)
• Draw up the transport and freight documents, check them and hand them over to customers, service providers, etc.
• Organizing the different stages of transport (collection, delivery, etc.)
• Follow up and control the general service according to the agreed provisions (progress of transport, traceability of goods, ...)
• Preparing price lists for the sale and/or purchase of a transport service according to operational or financial criteria
• Prepare and/or control the invoicing of transport
• Identifying anomalies and proposing improvements
• Informing customers about the transport conditions (cost,
  formalities, ...)
• Proposing a commercial solution
• Record the follow-up data
• Identifying anomalies and propose improvements

Requirements

As a Forwarder Export Airfreight you must have the following profile:

• You have first, relevant work experience in airfreight
• You are fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus
• You have excellent skills in various IT applications (Cargowise, Excel)
• You have good social and communication skills
