Freelance Electronic Prescription Issuer Software Developer

We are seeking a Freelance Electronic Prescription Developer who will play a pivotal role in designing and developing electronic solutions for creating managing and tracking electronic medical prescriptions. You will adapt the existing solution/product to meet a clients needs in Portugal.

This professional will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure compliance with regulations and efficiency in the prescription and dispensation of medications. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and develop electronic prescription systems ensuring compliance with regulations and security standards in the Portuguese medical industry/European Union.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals pharmacists and other stakeholders to understand the specific needs and requirements of electronic prescriptions in the medical field.

Develop solutions enabling electronic creation signing transmission and management of medical prescriptions in a healthcare environment.

Implement security protocols to protect the integrity of prescription information and patient privacy in the realm of electronic healthcare.

Conduct thorough testing and debugging of systems to ensure optimal performance and resolve technical issues in software development.

Stay up to date with updates and changes in regulations related to electronic prescriptions and make necessary adaptations in software development systems.

Provide technical support and training to endusers to ensure they understand and effectively utilize electronic prescription solutions in the healthcare sector.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate electronic prescription systems with other healthcare systems such as electronic medical records (EMR) and pharmacy systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.

Previous experience in developing electronic prescription systems or healthcare electronic applications.

Solid knowledge of regulations and security standards in electronic healthcare.

Programming skills in languages as required by the client.

Familiarity with both relational and nonrelational databases.

Implementation and design of both backend and frontend programs.

Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.

Attention to detail and a focus on software quality.

Certifications related to data security and healthcare electronics are a plus.

Proficiency in both spoken and written Spanish and Portuguese
