Food Safety Coordinator

In a nutshell

You coordinate food safety processes in our supply chain and ensure that our processes are compliant and safe. You work together with all supply chain teams (Fulfilment Distribution and Inbound) as well as external partners to set the standards and ensure we live up to them. The main subjects you focus on are cold chain management pest control cleanliness waste disposal and recalls. You coordinate the daily processes and drive improvements in collaboration with other teams. In case of incidents (e.g. recalls) you easily take the lead. You operate at the core of our operations ensuring a safe supply chain and the best food experience for our customers.

What youll do

• You take ownership of Picnics food safety and quality processes and standards ensuring 100% compliance with the latest food safety regulations;
• You coordinate food safety processes in Picnics supply chain;
• You design implement and run improvement projects regarding food safety;
• You run and improve recall processes and have the confidence to make recall decisions based on your expertise;
• You build and maintain Picnics relationship with external food safety partners;
• You guide internal and external audits to ensure compliance;
• Youll be based in Amsterdam with regular visits to the Fulfilment Centers and suppliers across the country.

About you

• You have a degree in Food Safety Food Technology or equivalent;
• You gained at least 2 years of experience in the food safety industry preferably in the retail industry;
• You have a genuine passion for food safety;
• Youre fluent in Dutch and have full working proficiency in English;
• You have good communication and stakeholder management skills;
• You enjoy working in a young dynamic environment and have a strong sense of responsibility;
• You are full of ideas to improve current operations;
• You have a drive to deal with daytoday operations and possess great problemsolving skills.
