Food and Beverage Coordinator

We are looking for a technically focused, detail orientated and highly organised team player who can support the food and beverage team by managing and coordinating the outlet reservations and affiliated administrative tasks. The main function of this job is to manage restaurant bookings and coordinate/manage the restaurants occupancy

Minimum Experience or Qualification:
Grade 12
Must have at least 1 3 years restaurant experience
Restaurant hosting or floor management experience advantageous
Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
Highly presentable
Excellent command of the English language with solid verbal and written communication skills
Fluency in a foreign language advantageous
Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Key Performance Objectives:
To manage the online booking system for the restaurant in accordance with the procedures laid down by the Food and Beverage Manager
To manage reservations for the Bar as per the hotels standard
To coordinate and handle high tea enquiries
To coordinate and handle all special occasion enquiries and bookings; e.g. Valentines Day; Mothers Day etc.
To support and assist the promotion of the various Food and Beverage outlets
To track and reconcile food and beverage covers, average spends and upselling incentives
To coordinate all food and beverage related guest special requests
To capture all guest data relating to guest details and comments
To assist the Wedding coordinator with wedding administration
