Full-time nanny required to care for a 6 year old girl in Munich Nymphenburg. The girl speaks German, English, and Italian and attends primary school.
The family is looking for an experienced and dynamic nanny to work for them on a long-term basis. The successful candidate speaks Italian as mother tongue and has a good level of either English or German.
The candidate is likely to meet the following requirements:
Experience as nanny/Educator and/or private tutor with excellent references. This includes teaching children to read, write, and calculate in Italian.
Ability to independently design and execute educational projects in Italian based on child s interests
Caring yet assertive towards the child e.g., regarding rules and routines
Ability to coach parents in educational matters, if needed, instead of needing their help
Outgoing, smart, and pragmatic personality that makes friends quickly in a new environment
University degree in teaching, child psychology or similar
Willing to learn German to be able to understand conversation between family members
The nanny will have sole charge of the girl and will play a significant role in her upbringing. The tasks of the nanny will include school runs, conducting the standard nursery duties and organising age-appropriate out-door and in-door activities in the Italian language. The nanny will also occasionally take care of light household duties (e.g., cooking, tidying up, running errands). A housekeeper is in place.
Regular working days are Mo-Sa during daytime plus occasional babysitting at night and overnight stays. The average working hours will be 40 hours per week and can vary depending on school schedule, vacation or child illness.
The family can provide a quiet apartment in one of Munichs prime locations, which is in walking distance to the familys home. A driving license is not required. The position might include accompanying the family on travels.
The family will encourage and support the nanny in her professional development and will offer an educational budget.
Requirements
Completely Fluent Italian and good knowledge of English or German
EU passport greatly preferred
Educated
Up to date clean criminal background check/ police check/
2-3 check-able relevant nanny references.
Paediatric first aid
Good amount of experience with children
Good amount of experience with children
Caring, fun, lots of initiative and energy
This is a strictly no smoking position
