The Fire Protection Design Engineer will be responsible for designing implementing and overseeing fire protection systems. This role involves collaborating with crossfunctional teams ensuring compliance with safety standards and utilizing engineering principles to create effective fire protection solutions. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in fire protection engineering attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring the safety of structures and occupants.
1. Design and develop fire protection systems including fire sprinklers alarms and suppression systems.
2. Collaborate with architects electrical engineers and other stakeholders to integrate fire protection measures into overall building plans.
3. Conduct risk assessments and analyze building layouts to determine the most effective fire protection strategies.
4. Ensure compliance with local state and national fire safety codes and standards.
5. Create detailed design documentation including drawings specifications and calculations.
6. Collaborate with contractors and project managers during the installation and testing phases of fire protection systems.
7. Stay updated on advancements in fire protection technology and industry best practices.
8. Provide technical support and expertise to resolve fire protectionrelated issues during construction or occupancy.
Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
2. 4 to 8 years experience in fire protection system design and engineering.
3. Indepth knowledge of fire safety codes standards and regulations.
4. Proficiency in relevant software tools used in fire protection design.
5. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
