JOB SUMMARY

We are in search of a Financial Director preferably with startup experience who shares our passion for excellence and is keen to be part of building something remarkable in the real estate industry. If you enjoy being a strategic financial leader this is a great role for you!

You will be responsible for overseeing the overall financial health of the company similar to a CFO. Youll partner with our operational leaders to advise on savvy financial decisions including client and internal reporting requirements. You will work closely with an experienced group of professionals while engaging in all aspects of real estate financial analysis accounting internal controls external auditors and thirdparty service providers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner with operational leaders to create a clear understanding for our principals of cash flow profit and loss and balance sheets.

  • Ensure every company division has a clear and consistent operating budget for overall division operations.
  • Outline a clear budget to meet our Vision and Strategy for our brokerage.
  • Partner with the Property Management division to establish clear processes and procedures along with templated reports for our investors regarding the performance of assets.
  • Partner with the Maintenance division to ensure all upcoming cashflow requirements for flips and heavy renovations are accounted for weekly monthly and quarterly.
  • Partner with Project Managers on new construction and land development sites to make sure cash flow is property accounted for and budgets are adhered to; create necessary reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to effectively track the progress of projects.
  • Input review and analyze property and investment financial information.
  • Ensure all investments are accounted for in accordance with current policies and procedures; review management agreements loan documents and partnership agreements to ensure firms financial compliance.
  • Conduct monthend and quarterly financial reporting accounting of real estate funds and oversight of real estate assets.
  • Produce monthly quarterly and annual reports for the firm.
  • Prepare and review cash flow profitability and return on investment analyses used for portfolio management decisionmaking and oversight of payments made at the fund level.
  • Field questions and run analyses for the founders.
  • Oversight of payments made at the fund level in addition to vendor payments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships for all internal and external clients and consultants.
  • Develop proforma and models based on founder and vendor feedback regarding upcoming acquisitions and development projects.
  • Maintain strong financial organization and continued reconciliation to projectbased budgets and actuals in a concise manner for the company.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance Accounting or a related field
  • CPA certification is preferred
    • Experience running financials for a startup highly preferred
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles financial reporting and budget management
    • Excellent leadership skills and experience in team management
    • Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel skills
    • Strong analytical problemsolving and communication abilities
    • Understanding of investment structures waterfalls mortgage documents development agreements partnership agreements and purchase and sale agreement preferred
