What will you do on your journey with WebBeds

WebBeds is the worlds fastest growing provider of accommodation distribution services to the travel industry. Our products incorporate distribution APIs payment integrations ERP integration Data Lakes User Interfaces and others. Our search API reach peaks of more than 50.000 requests per second each one consisting of tens or hundreds of hotels with continued expansion.

In this role you will:

Skillfully manage a cohesive team of accountants spread across Europe with the option for the role to be based in London .

Reporting to the Group FC this pivotal role will oversee the daily accounting operations of the Financial Control department within the Europe region.

Key elements to this role include but not limited to:

• Responsible for production and interpretation of financial and management accounting reports including monthly P&L statements balance sheet evaluations and cash flow analysis for the Europe region ensuring accountability process efficiency and data analytics.
  
• Lead by example guiding the financial control teams across the European region to ensure unwavering compliance in all countries where Webbeds conducts its operations.
• Identify key drivers and report Key Performance Indicators fostering a culture of continuous development and accountability.
• Promote collaboration across different teams to create comprehensive booking and sales tracking reports with a focus on validating margins and ensuring attention to detail.
• Maintain system of accounts and keep books and records on all transactions and assets displaying your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and accountability.
• Maintain a robust accounts management system to track transactions and assets.
• Oversee key financial components including the general ledger accounts payable expense reports billing payroll and fixed asset registers.
• Conduct a comprehensive review of partner agreements to ensure accurate accrual and ongoing monitoring of commissions and related expenses.
• Facilitate account reconciliation through meticulous data collection and analysis.
• Engage in a collaborative and supportive role with the FP&A team during the annual budgeting forecasting and projection process demonstrating consideration and a professional approach.
• Annually conduct audits with external agencies to ensure transparent reporting of financial management documentation and reporting across all EUROPE region entities demonstrating commitment to compliance and process.
• Manage Treasury Operations oversee cash books maintenance support the treasury team with banking and address FX requirements.
• Implement effective transfer pricing strategies for European entities.
• Take charge of tax affairs including quarterly GST/VAT returns withholding tax corporate tax and respond to tax authorities.
• Thoroughly review monthly and yearly financial closures including corporate tax assessments.
• Exemplify accountability and guidance by managing overseeing and occasionally processing transactions encompassing accounts payable revenue and expense fixed assets cash bank reconciliations and allocations.
• Provide support and advice to the Europe Commercial Management team demonstrating your consideration for their needs and the organizations success.
• Undertake adhoc projects and duties assigned embracing challengeoriented tasks and assuming the role of Europe lead for groupwide projects showcasing your leadership and innovative approach.

The skills we would love to see in your suitcase!

• Bachelors degree in Accountancy Finance or an equivalent field.
  
• Professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant CPA or ACCA.
• Preferred minimum of 5 years relevant accounting experience (candidates with 2 to 3 years experience in a Big 4 Audit Firm are at an advantage).
• Previous supervisory experience is a prerequisite.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial management strategic analytical planning and execution.
• Proactive attitude positive work ethic and a strong sense of accountability.
• Effective communication skills.
• A collaborative team player with meticulous attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work autonomously within tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to support various regional locations.
• Fluent English communication skills both written and oral.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook Excel Word and PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
