Finance Director

Urban Connect is a multimodal mobility platform for companies and communities that enables shared, climate-neutral mobility. The platform offers companies an ecosystem of low-emission, shared vehicles - everything from e-bikes to e-scooters and e-cargo bikes to e-cars with everything bookable via one (award-winning) app. In addition, the platform also enables simple integration of existing vehicle fleets - and the measurement and management of their utilization. It is also in this context that we help companies map an optimal, sustainable, cost-effective mobility mix for their employee mobility needs.

Tasks

YOUR MISSION

• Prepare and present investor reporting and board updates on finance
• Implement efficient, relevant, and real-time financial reporting on relevant KPIs which are defined in liaison with the management team
• Manage liquidity and rolling forecasts
• Set and control company expenditures in liaison with the management team
• Be responsible for and liaise with external bookkeepers on the quarterly close, tax filings and statutory financial statements, and audit
• Prepare and process all AR and AP documents in accordance with contracts, current information
• Be the first point of contact for any finance, accounting, and tax-related topics
• Prepare annual budget in conjunction with the leadership team for approval by the Board
• Own and maintain the business plan
• Maintain relationships with debt providers, investors, auditors, and other key stakeholders
• Maintain all HR and payroll records and processes
• Maintain pricing models and advise the commercial team on pricing and margin decisions
• Support by building business cases and discussion papers on new products, investments, markets, or other developments

Requirements

YOUR STORY

• Successfully completed university studies in finance with a focus on controlling/ accounting and/or corporate finance
• You feel inspired by a purposeful work environment and a team driven to help reshape the future of urban mobility
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role
• Full understanding of Swiss GAAP FER and/or IFRS accounting standards
• In-depth knowledge of controlling in the areas of reporting and rolling forecasts
• German and English working proficiency
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both to listen to colleagues to identify key risks, requirements, and bottlenecks, and to communicate with internal stakeholders
• Proactive mindset: keen to identify process improvements and help colleagues to action them to ensure successful implementation
• You have a can-do attitude, love solving problems - and enjoy challenging yourself and others to improve the status quo
