Finance Director

We are seeking to appoint an experienced strong and innovative finance leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Finance Director.Reporting to the Managing Director you will have overall responsibility and management of the Finance function which includes finance accounts payroll IT and cash office.

Tasks

You will operate as a key business partner and member of the senior leadership team including acting as the Company Secretary.The role holds responsibility for financial planning budgeting estimates and supporting the strategic direction of the Companys short medium and longterm strategy.

Through innovative approaches you will develop implement and monitor the financial strategy of the organisation. Ensuring financial resilience and sound financial systems and procedures are in place; that effective financial controls are adhered to; assets are safeguarded; and risk is managed.

You will support the Company in its strategic commercial negotiations with customers and suppliers while developing and understanding funding/grant requirements with internal/external stakeholders and support the wider business by evaluating business proposals with a view to drive financial and operational performance/change ensuring corrective measures are in place to maximise returns and minimise risk.

Requirements

Proven leader of a finance function in a dynamic operational business.

Evidence excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and influence effectively at all levels such as Board and SLT.

Structured thinker and problem solver.

Commercial and business acumen.

Chartered Accountant i.e ACCA ACA CIMA or equivalent.

Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Flexible professional and personable.
