Finance Controller

Job Purpose

Ensure the Banks financial reporting to local management and Head Office.
Booking of domestic and foreign Suppliers Invoices and Clients Invoices prepare VAT return and VAT related reporting (e.g. LI.PE. / INTRASTAT).
Support during preparation of corporation taxes calculation and relevant tax return and all other Finance taxes related calculation and tax returns. Make sure they are submitted accurately and on time in full compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Perform all necessary activities related to Finance area requirements of Milan branch.
All Bank of Italy PUMA activities necessary to produce the various Bank of Italy Matrix and FINREP report.

Responsibilities Accountabilities & Deliverables

Preparation of Head Officereports/information/data whenever requested
Prepare the Banks financial statements for Corp taxes return
Support for preparation of taxes computation and return for Milan Branch.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IAS/IFRS)
Production of financial reports for local Management.
Manage VAT position of the Branch and prepare VAT annual return and on quarterly basis VAT communication return and manage clients/suppliers Invoices and related tasks.
Support HR and Operations Departments etc. in all Finance related matters
Analyzing Administrative expenses for Milan branches and support for budget activities.
Preparation of monthly admin expense accruals postings calculation and entries of depreciations of fixed assets and followup of Fixed Assets Register and in general all Finance related periodical postings.
Preparation reconciliation and review of Finance area suspense accounts
Execution of all the necessary PUMA related activities for an EU Branch to obtain the various Bank of Italy Matrix (base A1A2A3etc. etc. FINREP). Knowledge of PUMA Items and relevant fields and skill to fix possible issues when running PUMA data.
Help the Branch on all the projects from a Finance point of view (tests assessments etc.)
Keep periodical relationships for Finance topics with Paris HO and with London and Bahrain HQ.

Knowledge

Knowledge of Accountancy / Banking Operations
Knowledge of PUMA Matrix (Central Bank reporting)
Fluent English
Skills about corporate direct & indirect taxes and in general about fiscal tasks.

Experience

5/10 years experience in Finance is highly desirable.
