Role Overview
We are looking for a Finance Assistant Manager who is excited about finance and accounting and the role it plays in the success of a growing business. We need our Finance Assistant Manager to be a driven selfstarting individual who can work independently to produce high quality financial material. We are open to applicants with varying levels of experience from commericallyfocused finance individuals looking to pursue an accounting qualification to those who are already part or fully qualified. This role reports directly to the Finance Lead and will play a key role in producing key financial information to tight deadlines and working with individuals across the business at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the existing team with daytoday tasks such as accounts payable accounts receivableand payroll and so on where required
- Supporting the existing team with monthend processes to reduce the number ofworking days to close financials down to almost realtime
- Supporting FP&A activities such as budgets and forecasts
- Assisting with adhoc tasks such as tax queries and the preparation of our annual accounts
- Assisting senior leadership with driving the strategy of the Finance function forward including identifying opportunities for improvements and efficiency gains
Qualifications
- 2 4 years of experience in finance and accounting. We are open to applicants of varying levels of experience
- Zeroego approach to work and willingness to roll sleeves up and get involved in daytoday tasks
- Deeply analytical with an intuitive understanding of data and strong dataled decisionmaking
- Strong attention to detail and problemsolving ability
- Excellent organisation and timemanagement abilities with the ability to effectively prioritise and not miss deadlines
- Comfortable using and adapting to different software systems
- Able to flex and adapt to the changing needs of the business within a Finance role
- 2:1 Degree or higher in any discipline is advantageous
- Passionate about the HIVED mission and sustainability more generally
