Field Service Engineer 34681

• In addition to duties of Field Service Specialist I performs repair and maintenance on intermediate imaging equipment such as Digital Radiography units basic CT CT Sim basic oncology and Vascular/Specials systems more than 60% of the time.
• Utilizes training opportunities to significantly reduce contract dependency for the same equipment.
• Employee functions as a leader in the Clinical Engineering department providing oversight and assistance to FSS for the efficient and cost effective repair and maintenance of imaging equipment.
• Effectively handles all service emergencies and necessary communications with Vendor Department and Clinical Engineering Account Manager.
• Assists in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the servicing of Diagnostic Imaging and Biomedical equipment.
• Is capable of providing coverage and support for Account Manager during manager s absence.
• Provides input to the Account Manager regarding new service opportunities within a location serviced by the Clinical Engineering Division.
• Provides appropriate service cost history to the Account Manager with an emphasis on Contract Vs. Time and Material contrast for the continual reduction of service expense.
• May also provide repair and maintenance of general biomedical equipment as secondary responsibility or as assigned.

• Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Biomedical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
• A minimum of five (5) years experience servicing medical imaging equipment such as General XRay (Rad including but not limited to Rad Rooms Portables and CArms)
• Must have the ability to repair and maintain a wide variety of imaging equipment
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
• Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
• Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in the standardized situations
• Must be familiar with MS Office Suite and internet based applications
• Reliable transportation required

• Bachelor s degree preferred
• Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) certification preferred
