Job Description
The field coordinator will be responsible for overall project activities in both blocks coordinating with all ICRAF activities related to this project.
Selection of project implementation site and farmers field to grow organic cotton in an agroforestry system.
Assistance in input procurements (organic fertilizer organic seed plants pesticides biological agents.
Assistance in the planting of (MPT) Multipurpose Trees and fruit Tree in farmers fields with organic cotton crop sowing.
Assistance in sowing vegetables as intercrop with Organic cotton.
Data collection on economic and social aspects related to the cotton agroforestry system.
Any other assignment given by the Country Director India CIFORICRAF and the project manager as per need.
MSc in Agroforestry/biological science/Horticulture/MSW with at least five years of experience in field implementations of projects related to work in agroforestry and crop/soil nutrient management. Fluency in Odia (reading, writing, and speaking) and good knowledge of English, and Hindi. Having a valid driving license for a two-wheeler is necessary. Candidates belonging to Western Odisha will be an added advantage. Candidate should have good knowledge of Computer software (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
