Field Application Engineer

Optotune & NextLens is a strongly growing and internationally active optics company based in Dietikon, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial (Optotune) and consumer markets (NextLens).

Taiwan is one of NextLens's most important and highest growing markets. You will be based in Taiwan and focus on the Asian markets. With your support, NextLens can be closer to customers and provide high-class local support. Your goal is to grow NextLens's business by scaling up our core markets and finding new applications for our consumer business.

Tasks

• Customer consulting & technical support of smartphone customers
• Ensure smooth transfer of information between Korea and Switzerland
• Present progress reports to Korean customers
• Understand customer roadmap, competing projects and information from HQ
• Support CCM and VCM manufacturers to integrate liquid lens products into their offerings
• Participation in trade shows and conferences

Requirements

• Above bachelor s degree holder in engineering with focus in optics and/or mechanics
• Preferred working experience in lens company, VCM or other supplier to CCM
• At least 5 years experiences in application/service engineering in the consumer electronics industry: for example CCM module design, lens structural simulation, optical system simulation or CCM project management
• Experiences with camera lenses, optical systems of mobile phone cameras and camera modules, or VCM actuator
• mobile phone lens design capability with Code V or Zemax is a great asset
• Proficient knowledge in zoom and folded camera module is a big plus
• Fluent in English, Korean & Chinese is a plus
