Field Application Engineer

Responsibilities:

To be a Test & Measurement (T&M) technical expert provides technical support to customers and actively engage in Pre & Post Sales of T&M solution in ASEAN and South Asia region.
Conduct presentation and demonstration of T&M solution to customers.
Install & setup test equipment in customer premises or test sites and provide training to customers.
Follow up customers technical issues and work with relevant parties (Sales Service Product Team partners) to resolve accordingly. Develop/customize test solution (integration/automation).
Participate in marketing events such as roadshow workshop seminars and exhibition Transfer knowledge and train partners and customers.

Requirement:

More than 2 years experience in either telecommunications / data centre / electronics and/or optical components test and measurement R&D manufacturing or relevant field.
Strong technical knowledge in any of the following fields:
a) RF/Microwave
b) Optical communication technology
c) Fixed line communications (e.g. mobile xhaul OTN ethernet optical transceivers)
d) Wireless communication standards (5G/LTE WLAN Bluetooth)
Experience in operating any following test equipment type is a plus:
a) General purpose test equipment for RF/optical devices (e.g. RF/Optical Spectrum Analyzer RF/Optical VNA Signal Generator)
b) Wired/Wireless test equipment (e.g. Radio Communication Tester (2G/3G/LTE/5G) BT/WLAN tester Ethernet tester OTDR BERT)
Proficiency in programming to remote control test equipment will be an added advantage.
Fluent in English good presentation and communication skills
Travel up to 50%
Good team player eager to learn work independently positive mindset with can do spirits.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fastpaced/highpressure environment while always maintaining good customer relations.
