Fashion Textile Designer

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Researching and identifying fashion trends colors and fabrics.
• Developing textile designs and patterns using computeraided design (CAD) software.
• Collaborating with the design team to create cohesive collections that reflect the brands identity.
• Conducting market research and analyzing consumer preferences to inform design decisions.
• Creating mood boards color palettes and design presentations for internal and client review.
• Translating design concepts into technical specifications for production.
• Working closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the quality and feasibility of designs.
• Participating in fittings and providing input on fabric selection and design adjustments.
• Staying updated on industry developments textile innovations and sustainable practices.
• Managing deadlines and prioritizing workload effectively.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Fashion Design Textile Design or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in textile design and print development within the fashion industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as Adobe Illustrator Photoshop or similar programs.
• Strong understanding of color theory fabric properties and production processes.
• Excellent sketching and illustration skills to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Ability to interpret market trends and consumer preferences into innovative textile designs.
• Knowledge of sustainable and ecofriendly textile practices is a plus.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to convey design concepts and collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
• Detailoriented approach with a focus on quality and precision in design execution.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment while maintaining creativity and innovation.
