Fashion Designer Textile Designer

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and present design concepts based on market research and trend analysis
• Create sketches technical drawings and patterns for clothing and textiles
• Select and source appropriate fabrics and materials for production
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure design feasibility and quality standards
• Participate in fittings and make necessary adjustments to prototypes
• Stay updated with industry trends color forecasts and textile innovations
• Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to oversee production processes
• Ensure timely delivery and quality control of final products
• Contribute to marketing and promotional activities for designed products
• Manage design portfolios and maintain organized records of all designs

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Fashion Design Textile Design or related field
• Demonstrated experience in fashion and textile design through internships or relevant work experience
• Strong understanding of color theory fabric types and textile manipulation techniques
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite CAD and 3D modeling programs
• Excellent sketching patternmaking and garment construction skills
• Knowledge of garment production processes and manufacturing techniques
• Ability to work in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment
• Strong communication collaboration and presentation skills
• Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for fashion and textiles
• Attention to detail and ability to adapt to evolving design trends
