Job Description:
1. Conceptualize Design:
Brainstorm and develop creative concepts for evening wear collections.
Stay updated with current fashion trends fabrics colors and silhouettes.
2. Sketches and Create Prototypes
Create detailed sketches and technical drawings of designs.
Develop prototypes and samples to test and refine the design.
3. Fabric Selection and Sourcing
Research and select appropriate fabrics trims and embellishments.
Establish relationships with fabric suppliers and vendors for sourcing materials.
4. Stay Updated on Market Trends
Attend fashion shows exhibitions and industry events to gather inspiration.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and consumer preferences.
5. Manage Production Process
Oversee the production process to ensure timelines are met and quality is maintained.
Address any issues or challenges that arise during production.
6. Collaborate with Design team
Collaborate with the design team to align on the overall theme and direction of collections.
Participate in design meetings fittings and brainstorming sessions.
7. Pattern Making and Garment Construction
Work closely with pattern makers and sample sewers to bring designs to life.
Ensure the fit construction and quality of each garment meets the brand;s standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor;s degree in Fashion Design or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as an Evening Wear Fashion Designer with a portfolio showcasing original designs.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator Photoshop and CAD programs.
Strong understanding of garment construction draping and pattern making.
Knowledge of textiles fabrics and embellishments used in evening wear.
Excellent creativity artistic vision and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the design team.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fastpaced fashion environment.
Knowledge of market trends and consumer preferences in the luxury fashion segment.
