- 25 years of relevant experience in an estimation role within the Fabrication Industry focusing on metallic and nonmetallic products.
- Proficient with CAD software and estimation software.
- Proven experience in tender preparation and bid management.
- Strong numerical skills and familiarity with financial and accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities: Estimate Preparation: Develop detailed cost estimates for expansion joints, bellows, dampers, and hoses, incorporating analysis of blueprints, technical drawings, and other project specifications. Calculate direct and indirect costs including materials, labor, and overhead based on historical data and project-specific information. Ensure all estimates are accurate and compliant with given specifications and customer expectations. Fabrication Process Analysis: Thorough understanding of fabrication techniques and costs associated with the manufacture of metal and non-metal products, including cutting, forming, welding, machining, and assembly. Evaluate and recommend cost-saving fabrication methods and materials without compromising quality or compliance. Work closely with the engineering and manufacturing departments to understand and implement the most effective fabrication strategies. Tender Preparation: Lead the preparation of comprehensive bid packages for tenders, ensuring all technical and commercial documentation is accurate and compelling. Analyze tender documents to understand and evaluate project risks, requirements, and deliverables. Coordinate with legal, financial, and technical teams to ensure that bids are compliant with all statutory and regulatory requirements. Prepare and review the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all financial information is clear and correctly detailed. Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Maintain a detailed directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring that all are evaluated based on performance, price, and reliability. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the s and contract terms.
