Estimating Manager
  • FullTime 40 Hours per week
  • PHP 50000 per month with HMO upon starting
  • Tuesday to Saturday 12:00 AM 8:00AM Philippine Time

About the client:
The clients has a leading international brand integrates Chinese and German technology in its expansive operations across America Asia Europe and Australia. Its 47000sqm manufacturing plant produces 15000 elevator units 5000 escalator/moving walkway units and 1000 car lifts annually

About the role:
The Estimating Manager is pivotal in overseeing the estimating team to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely project quotations upholding stringent quality assurance standards. This role demands a blend of technical acumen leadership prowess and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities and Timeline for Achievements:
First 2 Weeks:
  • Orientation and Integration: Acquaintance with company operations protocols and the estimating departments current projects and workflows.
  • Team Introduction: Establish rapport with the POCs of the team of 35 estimators and the QA team understanding individual roles strengths and areas for development.
  • Systems Familiarization: Gain proficiency with the companys estimating software tender platforms and tracking sheets.
First Month:
  • Performance Review: Conduct an initial assessment of the QA teams quote review processes for accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Process Evaluation: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the current estimating process and team inbox management.
  • Strategy Development: Outline a strategy for enhancing team productivity including task delegation and KPI achievement.
First 90 Days:
  • Implementation of New Processes: Roll out optimized workflows and procedures for estimating tasks based on the initial months evaluation.
  • KPI Monitoring: Ensure consistent achievement of daily KPIs focusing on the timely submission of quotes and efficient RFI management.
  • Team Development: Initiate targeted training and development programs to address identified skill gaps within the team.
180 Days:
  • Process Refinement: Conduct a thorough review of the newly implemented processes adjusting strategies based on feedback and performance data.
  • Reporting System Optimization: Enhance the weekly reporting mechanism to management ensuring it accurately reflects team performance and project handovers.
  • Template Standardization: Ensure all templates guides and manuals used by the estimating team are updated consistent and adhere to quality standards.
In a Year s Time:
  • Performance Milestones: Achieve marked improvements in estimating accuracy team efficiency and client satisfaction metrics.
  • Leadership Excellence: Establish oneself as a key leadership figure within the company fostering a culture of continuous improvement innovation and teamwork.
  • Strategic Contributions: Provide strategic insights to senior management on optimizing project estimation and tendering processes contributing to the companys competitive edge and market leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in engineering or related field.
  • 35 years of experience in project estimation.
  • 12 years in a leadership/managerial role.
  • Stable employment history.
Skills:
  • Proficient in project management principles.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Excellent communication organizational and timemanagement skills.
  • High attention to detail for ensuring accuracy in project estimates and documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Salesforce experience is preferred although familiarity with other CRM software is also valued.

HomeBased Requirements:

  • Fast and reliable wired internet connection of not less than 50 mbps

  • Quiet private home office free from noise background or distractions

  • Updated computer (desktop or laptop) excellent quality headset with microphone and a working webcam
